6 Gallon Onion-Head Copper Pot Still

The onion-head shape isn't just for looks. That rounded dome gives vapor extra room to expand and reflux gently before it heads down the swan neck, smoothing out the spirit on its way through. Every piece is formed from solid copper rolled to at least 1.0 mm and joined with tin-silver solder. There is no lead anywhere in the build and no brass fittings to introduce off-flavors. Copper matters here for more than tradition: it actively pulls sulfur compounds out of the vapor stream, which is why serious whiskey and rum makers keep coming back to it over stainless.
